The philosophy of Nursing Service is to create an environment that allows each resident to function at their highest level of independence. It is assumed that everyone has the potential and capacity to reach their optimum state of health. We, the Nursing Service, believe in the importance of using this potential to promote and improve the health of all individuals entrusted to our care. This approach includes meeting the holistic needs of each individual, and assisting them to develop their abilities to cope with their environment, to help each person feel that he / she belongs, and is truly cared for as an individual. The Nursing Service believes it is the additional responsibility of this service to encourage the nursing professionals within the agency to maintain a high level of standards and skills through staff development and continuing education, to better assist our residents to optimal function. |
